Today Kaitey Whitehead and I photographed a beautiful golden retriever named Lincoln. Lincoln belongs to the family of one our grooms from a couple of years ago. We got some photos in Lincoln's beautiful backyard before we got chased inside by a very dramatic thunder storm. The power briefly went out but our canine model kept his cool and allowed us to finish the shoot indoors.
Lincoln got a bit bored with the whole process.

Lucy - July 23, 2010
Yesterday evening I took portraits of our neighbor's dog, Lucy. These are indeed the dog days of summer and Lucy was quite a good sport about the heat. I promise her that come fall, or at least a spell of weather under 90+ degrees, that we will do some more shots when she (and I) am more comfortable.

Emilio - July 16, 2010
This morning, Kaitey Whitehead and I had the pleasure of photographing our neighbor's Maltese, Emilio. My little Maltese puppy, Sammy, could not handle Emilio getting all the attention, and insisted that he be included in some of the photos. Great work little doggies, I certainly hope we get to do more pet portraits!

Head Shots on Capitol Hill - July 8, 2010
Last week I was asked to take some photographs for a client's web site. She was lucky to have a friend who has an office in the beautiful 101 Constitution building, and we had use of the whole office as well as the rooftop with its spectacular view of the Capitol. Many thanks to Randy Wood for helping out with this shoot.

Selwa and Haithem - July 7, 2010
Last night I photographed the wedding ceremony of Selwa and Haithem. They were married in their home in front of their families and a few close friends. First there was a religious ceremony and then the civil one. Such lovely people surrounded by so much love and warmth. This coming Sunday I will be photographing their luncheon reception. I had so much fun last night, I am very much looking forward to this weekend.
