Family Portraits - March 23, 2012

This past Friday evening I photographed a lovely family who came to me via an auction donation to a local school.  The parents brought their two beautiful and very animated daughters and a very sweet dog that my two pups went crazy over.   The cherry blossoms were in full bloom in our front yard, so we grabbed a few quick images there before heading inside to my studio to finish up.

CoCo Sala Party - March 21, 2012

My friend, Hollis Pica, from CoCo Sala Restaurant, held a little get together tonight that I luckily got to attend.  Hollis wanted to show her beautiful site off to some of the wedding and party planners here in D.C. so that they could see what a great place this is for hosting events.   I have been here before and loved it, but I did not know that they had access to the fabulous roof deck that they do.   I am always amazed to see my home town city from a roof top vantage point.  Always something new to see.  This one did not disappoint.  Planners - think about this location for an event!

Sweet Baby Evelyn - March 17, 2012

Yesterday, my friend Megan came by with her baby girl, Evelyn, for some photos.  I have become friends with Megan through work.  She works for the fabulous corporate event planners, Linder & Associates.  Megan and I have worked many jobs together and when I found out she was expecting, I made her promise that I would get to take some baby photos for her.   Yesterday we finally made this happen.

Evelyn is adorable.  She was perfectly behaved, but very, very serious in front of the camera when we started the shoot.  By the time we changed her into her Easter dress, she was all smiles.  Great to see both of you, I am hoping all our paths cross again soon.

Baby Kate - March 10, 2012

This morning two of my lovely wedding clients from 2008, Sarah and Nick, came by with their baby girl for some portraits.   Sarah's family is wonderful.  I have photographed both Sarah and her sister, Martha's, weddings at their parents home.  Both were really great parties.  Sarah brought Martha and her mother along for the shoot today and it was so nice to catch up with everyone.

Kate is adorable and was the perfect model.  We went through numerous costume changes and she just kept smiling and posing like a pro.  Congratulations to Sarah and Nick on the new addition to their family.  Please come back and visit soon.
