Fluffy Thoughts Cakes - Grand Opening - April 15, 2010

On Thursday of this week I photographed the grand opening of Fluffy Thoughts Cakes in McLean. I had heard about Lara Stuckey and her incredible baked goods before, but this was the first time we had met. She has just moved into this beautiful space with a retail counter and tasting room, and tonight the ribbon was officially cut for this business. The event was planned by Terri Eaves of Bash and Jamie Sears of Simply Chic Events. I will not tell how many incredibly delicious little cupcakes I ate before the event started during set up, and I am trusting Terri and Jamie to keep my secret.

Cherry Blossom Festival Closing Ceremony - April 10, 2010

This past Saturday, Randy Wood, one of my associate photographers, went down to the mall at the crack of dawn to photograph the set up for the closing ceremonies of the Cherry Blossom Festival for Linder and Associates, event planning company that helped run the whole event. His job was to capture the set up of the event before the parade started. Such a beautiful spring morning to be up at sunrise!
