Beautiful Karen in McCrillis Gardens - October 12, 2012

I was thrilled recently to be asked for some portraits by my friend, Karen.  We met through the Bethesda jewelry store, Amethyst, where she works.   As the weather was perfect today, we went to one of my favorite local parks.  Being a weekday, we had it to ourselves.  We had a blast taking these photos. If the temperature had not been dropping by the minute we would have stayed for hours.  Karen, you are absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to photograph.

Family Portraits - September 23, 2012

I had the pleasure of photographing a delightful family today whose daughters were two of the best models I have worked with in a bit.  These girls were so outgoing and full of life that they truly posed themselves.  All I did was follow them around with my camera and try to keep up with their wonderful energy.  We started in my studio but then went outside as today was one of those fall days that was beyond perfect.  Excellent weather, great family - what more can a photographer ask for?

Old Friends - September 17, 2012

Three of my favorite folks came by my studio today to get some long overdue portraits done.  Last time I formally photographed this crew they were tiny and in grade school.  No longer.  As the youngest is one of my son's best friends, I had to throw Jake in at the end for a quick photo.

Family Portraits in McCrillis Gardens - September 14, 2012

Yesterday I decided to take my family portrait clients to McCrillis Gardens in Bethesda for their sitting.  I had first been to this lovely spot about five years ago when I shot a wedding ceremony here.  I have come back a few time for other portraits and always had the place to myself.  Not yesterday.  I guess the word is out because there were a couple of bridal parties there plus numerous portrait shoots and one maternity session.  Fortunately there is plenty of room to work and we all had plenty of space for our respective jobs.

My clients were so much fun.  Four great kids and two very easy going parents.  We did as many configurations as we could of everyone.  After a summer of beastly hot weather there is nothing sweeter than a beautiful fall day for some picture taking!
