Emerson and Riley - September 20, 2014

My brother-in-law, Paul, has been raving to me about his wonderful assistant, Dee, for years.  According to Paul, she is pretty much perfect.  Today I got to meet her for the first time and I can honestly say that Paul is right.  Dee and her husband, Chris, recently had twin baby girls so they came by the studio today for some portraits.  We had a blast and the babies were great sports about everything.  Many thanks also to Chris' mom who came along to help with the shoot.  With two babies and multiple costume changes, it does indeed, take a village.

Ryan and Ignacio - September 13, 2014

Ryan and Ignacio got married last week at the Tidal Basin with just the two of them.  As today is the day of their official wedding party, I coaxed them downtown to Senate Park for a few quick photos.

Sarah - August 29, 2014

My friend, Sarah, came by the studio for some head shots yesterday.  She teaches spinning classes on the side, and needed a head shot for a job for which she wanted to apply.  She is a great advertisement for her fitness regimen.  I say - hire her!!!!

Carmen - July 6, 2014

Last month while my family was at the beach I went to visit my friends, Maria and David, for dinner.   Maria's daughter had an eight month old baby that I had not yet met.  I brought a camera and snapped a few photos of their adorable Carmen.  So excited to be photographing Carmen's parents wedding next month.  It will be my first wedding ever with my leg in a cast!  I know that it will all work out just fine.  As a wedding photographer I had always promised myself that I would never get hurt.  Oh well, we are a resourceful bunch and never afraid to ask for a little assistance.....
