This past Saturday, Randy Wood, one of my associate photographers, went down to the mall at the crack of dawn to photograph the set up for the closing ceremonies of the Cherry Blossom Festival for Linder and Associates, event planning company that helped run the whole event. His job was to capture the set up of the event before the parade started. Such a beautiful spring morning to be up at sunrise!
Today I went to the Building Museum to photograph my son Jake's band, Tunnel, play at the opening ceremony for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. Tunnel rocked, as always. I stayed for the whole afternoon, long after Tunnel had finished, as a client had asked me to photograph the rest of the event for them. I will post more pictures of the many other wonderful acts, after we return from vacation.
Yesterday was the first day of spring, and an absolutely beautiful day in Washington. Julia was so lucky to have this perfect day for her bat mitzvah. We started the day at Temple Emanuel in Kensington and gathered again in the evening in D.C. at Bambule Restaurant for the party. DJ Russell from DJ - NYX and their fabulous dancers kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire party. Big congrats to Julia and her lovely family. Many thanks also to Kait Whitehead and Rena Schild for helping me photograph this great event.
