Family Portraits in my Studio - December 23, 2012

This lovely family came to me via my friend, Tracey.  Tracey was a big time wedding planner in the D.C. area for years and I got so many of my favorite clients from her.  Now that she has retired from the wedding business to be a full time mom I really miss working with her.  So sweet of her to share my name with these friends of hers who needed a pre Christmas portrait sitting.  As with everyone Tracey has sent me, these people were a delight to work with and photograph.  My next goal is getting Tracey out for a lunch to thank her.

Lizzie, Greg & Eloise - December 17, 2012

Lizzie came to me as a client several years ago through my dear friend and make-up artist, Gustavo Mottola and his wife Bonnie.  Lots has changed since then and now Lizzie has a new city, upcoming marriage and a new baby girl, Eloise.   She lives in L.A, now, but was home for the holidays so we took the opportunity to snap a few pictures in my studio this past week.   So nice to see Lizzie again.  Big congrats on the wonderful new things in your life.

Two Lovely Families in my Studio - December 2, 2012

Today I had two sisters and their husbands and children to my studio to do some family portraits.   These kids were fabulous.  So energetic and full of life.  I didn't pose anyone - I just let them do their thing and tried to capture it.  The baby was a very good sport about being placed in various laps balanced between siblings and cousins.  Beautiful families - thanks for stopping by.

Portraits in the Blue Room - November 25, 2012

A friend of a friend had asked me to photograph his adult children this morning.  We had planned on doing this outside at a park but today was very chilly.  We ended up at his home which was an incredibly great back up plan.  This house was amazing - so much color and so much beautiful artwork to incorporate into the photographs.  As you may be able to see, I fell in love with one particular blue wall.
