The Marroccos - October 19, 2013

Every year, right about this time in October, I take family portraits of our dear friends the Marroccos.  Hard to believe that it has been over ten years since their wedding.  The boys just get cuter every year and now they totally know the drill when Aunt Sus shows up with all her gear.  We pose a bit, play a bit and this year they topped off the evening by having me go collect Joe and come back for a fabulous steak dinner.

Portraits in Montrose Park - October 12, 2013

Every year for the last few years I have taken family portraits for a few local families.  We do 30 minute mini sessions and these lovely folks set up everything for me.  They pick the place and time and schedule themselves.  All I do is show up with a camera or two and take their photos.  This year we met at Montrose Park in Georgetown and for the first time since we have been doing these shoots, the weather was bad.  It was pouring when I arrived.  As I sat under an umbrella with my camera bags a nice lady who was out walking her dogs suggested I move to a covered gazebo near the tennis courts.  What a great suggestion.   The light was perfect and we were able to stay dry.  The rain stopped and started so we were also able to grab a few shots outside.

So nice to see everyone again.  I am already looking forward to next year.

Monica and Aaron - October 5, 2013

Yesterday's wedding was the first time that I had photographed the wedding of one of my friend's children.  Monica's parents, Soley and Ray, are old and dear friends.  Soley and I grew up together and I have know Monica since she was a baby.  This event brought together so many folks that I had not seen in years.  Thankfully, my trusty second shooter, Randy Wood, could cover for me at times so I could do some visiting.  Of course, Randy knows this crowd almost as well as I do, so he had some visiting to do himself.

Big congrats to Monica and Aaron who got the most beautiful weather they could have hoped for.   Enjoy your honeymoon in Greece and I look forward to lots of get togethers when you return.  xo
