Edyta and Neil - March 5, 2010

What a treat I had today when Edyta and Neil came by to get their portraits done straight from the Rockville courthouse where they were just married. They only called me about this job a few days ago and I was thrilled when they arrived with seven friends and their beautiful three month old daughter. As winter is still lingering in D.C., we did most of the shots in my studio. We did, however, sneak outside for a couple of quick portraits before they left for their wedding lunch. I look forward to seeing them again soon when they bring their daughter back for some portraits when she is awake. Best of luck to this beautiful newly married couple.

Mr. Smith - February 19, 2010

Mr. Smith is one of my son's tae kwon do instructors who has started to do a bit of modeling. He asked me if I could take some photos for his portfolio and I was more than happy to help out. He is a fourth degree black belt and in the most awesome shape, in addition to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. I had an absolute blast taking these photos and I really look forward to shoot #2 when we can do some outdoor shots as soon as all our D.C. snow melts and temperature gets above freezing.

Orozco Family - February 21, 2010

Today I took some portraits of the Orozco family. I have been taking their portraits for several years now and I am amazed at how grown up and beautiful all the kids are. The occasion for today's shoot was their son, Daniel's 15th birthday.

Blizzard - February, 2010

Quite a snowfall we had here in Washington, D.C. I feel like it will be ages before we completely dig out. My two jobs this weekend were postponed. Hats off to all my friends in the wedding industry who worked over this past weekend. I stayed in with my boys while it snowed and ventured out yesterday only to shovel snow. Today we walked into Bethesda for lunch and a quick trip to the Apple Store. Now we await a few friends who were able to dig out to come watch the Superbowl.

First look at the snowfall this morning.

Friends we met on our walk to Bethesda, shoveling a sidewalk.

Elizabeth and Chris - January 9, 2010

What a wonderful way to start off the year with the wedding of Elizabeth and Chris. This event came to me by referral from a lovely family who had used me to photograph their daughter's wedding a couple of years ago. Both the bride and groom's parents and siblings were so kind and gracious, Kait Whitehead, my second shooter, and I felt like family by the end of the evening.

Elizabeth and Chris are both finishing their final year of law school in Baltimore so their plates are quite full. When things calm down for them, I look forward to sitting down with them and designing their album.

Big thanks to Eileen at the Army Navy Country Club for all her help in pulling off this beautiful event. Also, thanks to Rick of the Flower Gallery of Chantilly for his beautiful flowers.
