Monica and Brandon - July 7, 2012

Yesterday, despite the very intense heat that has been sitting on top of D.C. for over a week, Monica and Brandon pulled off a fabulous wedding complete with an outdoor ceremony and a few outdoor portraits.  Many thanks to Diva and her staff at the County Club of the South and Gina from Wedding Savvy for making the day run so smoothly.   This wonderful couple came to me through Amy and Rob, one of my favorite couples from last summer.

For days I had been hearing about temps in the hundreds (and indeed it did get to 105 degrees), but once my very helpful second shooter, Matt Splain, and I arrived at the Club, the weather just didn't seem to matter.  It did help, of course, that the outdoor ceremony was short and sweet, and we did keep outdoor portraits to a minimum, but this was a fun crowd and nothing was going to get in the way of their party.

DJ Marc Simmons from C&J Entertainment kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire evening.  The staff from the Club graciously brought up a couple of big fans to cool off the dance floor which would have needed cooling off even in cold weather!

While all the guests were outside waiting for their exit, Monica and Brandon took a spin around the dance floor to an empty room.
