Angela and Larry - June 20, 2009

When I awoke to pouring rain on Saturday morning my first thought was to the garden portraits that I had planned later in the day after Angela and Larry's wedding ceremony. They are such a lovely couple and have been so much fun to work with that I wanted everything to be perfect! Although the rain continued into the early afternoon, everything went smoothly and we were able to sneak in a few portraits at McCrillis Gardens in Bethesda between the ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Potomac and the reception at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel. Larry and Angela were great sports and were not going to let a bit of weather spoil their fabulous day, and in the end, it was indeed perfect.

Kait Whitehead and I spent the day and night with them and saw Angela change clothes three times! First into a traditional western wedding gown for the ceremony and start of the reception. She then changed into traditonal Korean dress for the Pae Baek Ceremony which was held mid-way through the reception. She chaged again into a Chinese Chi Pao dress for the remainder of the reception. This was all in honor of her Korean and Larry's Chinese families.

Riva Neam from the Hilton did a great job keeping everything flowing smoothly. Other vendors were Blue Sky Films, Bialeks Music for the D.J. and DaVinci's Florist. Angela and Larry don't head off to their Hawaiian honeymmon for another couple of weeks, so hopefully they will have all the pictures ready to take with them to review on their long plane ride.
