Michael's Bar Mitzvah - november 5, 2011

I photographed the most entertaining bar mitzvah last Saturday.    This family was so much fun and so animated and the party absolutely rocked.  Lisa, Michael's mom, got up and sang with the band a couple of times and blew us all away.  Having photographed events for many years, sometimes I get a bit nervous when I hear that someone wants to perform with the band.  You never know what you will see.  Not this time.  Lisa, and her smoky bluesy voice, brought the house down.  She also wrote a toast to Michael sung to the tune of Adam Sandler's Hanukkah song that was priceless.  Thanks as always, to Matt Splain for second shooting.   Thanks also to the Pooks Hill Marriott and  Edge Floral Designers for making the ballroom so beautiful.  And a huge shout out to Onyx from Washington Talent for their non stop entertainment and for being so much fun.
