Jennifer and Jesse - October 20, 2012

This beautiful wedding came to me via my good friend, Amy Snyder.  Amy was a well known wedding photographer in the D.C area for years, but she has changed careers.  The bride's parents are friends of hers and asked her to shoot this wedding for them as well as to be a guest.  Amy wore two hats that day.  I worked with her for the getting ready shots, portraits and ceremony.  Then her husband arrived and she changed into a guest in a beautiful dress, and my wonderful second shooter, Matt Splain, came and assisted me in shooting the reception.

The wedding was held at the Fairmont, one of my all time places to work in D.C.   Bob Mikolitch of the Fairmont is always a pleasure to work with and it was lovely to see him again.   Jennifer Stiebel of SoCo Events was the planner and after meeting her for the first time last week it was so nice to work with her.  She and her impressive team kept everything running beautifully.   The band, Amaretto, had everyone on the dance floor for the entire evening and thanks to Amaryllis, the flowers and the room were stunning.   Hats off also to Giselle for the great hair and Nour for the make-up.

And most important the bride and groom and their families.  What a wonderful bunch.  As Amy brought me into this job I did not meet anyone until the day of the wedding.  They were all wonderful and so so nice and even more fun.

Thanks so much to everyone.  When you work in the wedding business, nights like this are what we dream of.
