Courtney and James - December 21, 2013

This lovely wedding came to my through my good friend, Suzanne, who is a friend of Jean's, the mother of the bride.  When Courtney got engaged, Suzanne recommended me as the photographer and for this I owe her many thanks.  What a great event.  We started the day at the Hotel Rouge and then continued on to the ceremony at St. Peters on Capitol Hill.   We did the wedding portraits at Senate Park and then headed to the reception at the Carnegie Institute.  All this on a sixty-five degree day in December!

This was a extremely fun and animated crowd.  It is also the first time I have had a bride transported from the reception back to the hotel on a home made thrown carried by the groomsmen.  Love it!

Many thanks to Randy Wood and Matt Splain, my hard working and talented second shooters and to Sara Franklin of Social Scene Events for pulling everything together with Jean.  Great to also work with Jaime Mizell, one of my favorite DJs.
